Make a Difference as a Charity Trustee
Do you have business, sales & marketing, legal or medical experience and skills that you can put to good use for the benefit of those affected by a debilitating medical condition?
Becoming a trustee is a good way for professionals to support a charitable cause and extend their own range of business experience.
BANA (British Acoustic Neuroma Association) is a registered National charity (no: 1024443), which is seeking a small number of trustees to boost its current board.
Based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, we provide support and information to people affected by acoustic neuromas, and to encourage research into the condition and related disorders. Acoustic neuromas are benign brain tumours which have a number of symptoms and interrelated effects.
Involvement would include attendance at 4 to 6 meetings per year, generally on a Saturday, and there is provision for remote attendance. Out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
We are the only charity supporting people for this condition from a UK wide perspective. We have two decades of experience and are recognised within the medical profession as the place for reliable information and support and to signpost patients to at the point of diagnosis.
Would you like to help us build upon our success as we enter a new phase of development to improve our profile and raise awareness?
If you have any questions or would like to discuss informally, please contact Debra Nash, CEO, on 01246 550011, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
